Animated Films
Was never really into them , saw Shrek and Madagascar, The Lion King etc and probably Snow White and the Seven Dwarves as a kid but last night I watched Lost and Found. Thought it was excellent. Any other examples out there of must watch animated films?

Re: Animated Films
Have you noticed? Cartoon films these days are able to show emotions and talk with high-sounding philosophies ( i.e. Toy Story etc) and the action films are enabled to deal with a dozen opponents in a way that used to be only possible to Tom and Jerry or Mighty Mouse. How times change....

I'd go along with that.

Jacksons version was good but the Animation always seemed to feel more like Tolkiens LOTR.

Re: Animated Films
I think Bashkis LOTR is better than the motion picture in a number of ways, particularly Aragorn, Sam and the ringwraiths. The soundtrack was also much better.

Try watching some animation that isn't meant for young kids.

Was very into Ralph Bakshi's stuff when younger. Shame he didn't finish Lord of the Rings.

Fuck all this post-96 multi-million dollar Disney shit...

Mary and Max is probably the best animation that I've ever seen... Great story... Great animation...

Give that one a go...

They kind of did do a follow on...

Because the LOTR film finished half way through the second book, they made another Animated film called "Return of the King" in 1978.

Watch it here if you're bothered.
